About me
Hi, I'm Lynette Mai, founder of LM Images.
My journey into photography began long before weddings. As a child, I spent many years dancing ballet and developed a love for storytelling, movement and beautiful imagery. Later, as a young mum, photography became a creative outlet and passion that quickly grew into a career. When I first discovered wedding photography, I was inspired by some of the industry's leading photographers at the time. I loved the glamour, elegance and beauty they created, but I also realised that the photographs people treasured most were often the emotional moments—the tears, laughter, embraces and quiet connections between generations. Over the years, my style has evolved into a blend of both: timeless elegance combined with genuine emotion.
Since establishing LM Images in 2005, I have had the privilege of photographing nearly 700 weddings and countless once-in-a-lifetime moments. While every wedding is unique, one thing remains the same: family is at the heart of it all. As someone who is deeply family-oriented, I understand how important it is to capture not only the couple, but also the people who helped shape their journey.
Parents, grandparents and family relationships hold a special place in my heart. I know how quickly these moments pass, and I believe the photographs we create today become some of the most treasured memories for future generations.
Over the years, I have had the honour of photographing a wide range of cultural and religious celebrations, including Sri Lankan, Nigerian, Chinese Jieh-hun (结婚) and Tea Ceremonies, Hindu, Muslim, Orthodox, Catholic, Persian, Saudi Arabian and many other traditions. I have developed a deep respect and appreciation for the customs, family values and meaningful rituals that make every culture unique. My goal is always to document these moments with authenticity, understanding and the respect they deserve.
For me, wedding photography is about far more than taking beautiful photographs. It is about preserving your family's story, celebrating your traditions and capturing the people you love most.
After more than 20 years, I still feel incredibly grateful to do what I love. It is an honour to be invited into such meaningful moments, and I would love the opportunity to tell your story.

LM Images is a Brisbane-based wedding photography and film studio founded and led by owner and lead photographer Lynette Mai. With over 20 years of experience and more than 700 weddings photographed, Lynette has built LM Images into one of Brisbane’s most trusted and established wedding studios. Her passion has always been to capture genuine emotion, meaningful connections, and timeless moments that families will treasure for generations.
At LM IMAGES, our team is truly the heart of everything we do. We are a family-based business, and the people you see behind the cameras are more than just my colleagues — they are like family to me.
I have been incredibly blessed to work with the same core team for over 10 years. We have grown together, supported one another, and shared countless special moments with our couples along the way. This long-standing bond means we work seamlessly together, creating a calm, relaxed, and joyful environment on your wedding day. When you feel comfortable, your photos and films naturally become more meaningful and authentic.

OUR PROCESS
Your love story is unique, and your coverage can be too. Whether you’re planning an intimate 2-hour elopement or a grand 5-day celebration with up to 15 hours of coverage each day, we can tailor a package to suit your needs. Simply let us know if you’d like a personalised quote for your perfect wedding experience
Secure Your Date
Once you’ve chosen your package, we’ll send through your booking form and contract. A signed contract and a booking fee will officially secure your date in our calendar. Dates are booked on a first-come, first served basis.

My husband and I highly recommend LM Images! They recently did the photography and videography for our wedding day, and we will definitely be booking them for our next special occasion! Lynette and Emily have been amazing throughout the whole process. After our first meeting with Lynette, we knew we had made the right decision.
